"The Fight for Academic Equity: Creating Social Cohesiveness Between the Adult Learner and College"

At ANTSHE, we believe that education isn't just for K-12 or the college-bound. As life-long learners, it is important to continue to be open-minded and willing to learn new things. 

This year, we are very excited to offer to our ANTSHE Conference attendees the following unique learning opportunities, FREE with a full-conference registration! 

***PLEASE NOTE***In order to secure your seat in the class, you MUST register in advance. There is no registration fee and you will not be charged or billed for your selected class. The cost is included in your full-conference registration fee. (You will not be able to register for the class onsite) 

POP-UP CLASSES will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Don't forget about the after party!! Join us for Dinner & Painting Party 6:00pm-8:00pm.

Chocolate/Tea Pairing Class: 

Join us for a special tasting/pairing. Learn about the history of chocolate and how various products are made, as well as how to "taste" chocolate (just like with wine). Learn about tea and how to pair it with chocolate for a true indulgence. Sample different types of tea and chocolate at this event. 


Public Speaking Skills Class:

DESCRIPTION
Did you know that public speaking anxiety is still the top phobia, affecting more people than fears of spiders, heights, darkness and even death? If you've ever wanted to learn how to design effective impromptu speeches, master the speech preparation process, deliver informative and persuasive speeches, then you don't want to miss this class! This is your opportunity to do a deep dive into public speaking skills. This class is for professionals of all kinds.

Dinner & 

Painting Party

6:00pm-8:00pm


At the ANTSHE Dinner & Painting Party, you will have the exciting opportunity to try your hand at painting, after you enjoy a complimentary dinner. Eat. Paint. Enjoy! Painting parties are all the rage, and we will be hosting a painting party just for you! All skill levels are welcome and NO experience is required. Don't know how to paint? Have no fear, your painting instructor will guide you step-by-step through the process of painting your very own cherished keepsake, something to remember your visit to North Carolina and the ANTSHE Conference by. Enjoy a relaxing dinner, then immerse yourself into art to create a beautiful painting of the "Flowering Dogwood", North Carolina's State flower! 

-No experience necessary

-No supplies needed, ANTSHE will provide everything you need, including: brushes, paints, a canvas, and easel will be waiting at your table. (Aprons will be provided, but there are no guarantees so consider packing an old t-shirt)

So, step out of the high-tech world we live in and immerse yourself in the art! It's fun, therapeutic, and you'll be surprised at the hidden or not-so-hidden talent that you really have! Enjoy dinner, painting, and have some great fun! Dinner will be provided for all registered participants of the Dinner & Painting Party at no cost. But, don't forget to register for the class in advance because seating is limited and you will not be able to register onsite.
